The Early Church – How God’s Family Began

Early Christians share food and pray together

A New Kind of Family

After the day of Pentecost, Jesus’ friends were full of joy. They couldn’t stop talking about Him! They remembered what He taught and wanted others to know it too.

But this wasn’t just a group of friends. It became something more. A big, warm family where everyone was welcome. That’s how the Early Church began.

Together Every Day

The Early Church met every day. Not in big buildings—but in homes, courtyards, and gardens. They shared stories about Jesus, read scriptures, and prayed. They sang songs and thanked God for His love.

When someone was hungry, they shared food. If someone was sad, they prayed. If someone needed a place to stay, they opened their homes. They were one heart and one family.

Peter and the Leaders Teach

Peter, John, and the other disciples helped lead the group. Peter often stood up and spoke. He told stories about Jesus’ life. He reminded everyone how Jesus died and rose again.

Peter’s words gave people hope. Every day, more people joined the church. Men, women, kids—thousands of them came to believe!

What This Teaches Us

The Early Church didn’t need fancy things. They just loved one another. They shared, they prayed, they forgave, and they told others about Jesus.

We can be like them too. When we share, pray, and care, we are building the church every day.

Would you like to be part of God’s family like they were?

Moral of the Story

The Early Church showed love by sharing, praying, and helping each other.
God wants us to care for others, just like the first believers did.

Bible Verse for Kids

Acts 2:44 – “All the believers were together and shared everything they had.”

When we share and help others, we’re living like Jesus’ first followers.
