As time passed, the victorious cock’s strength began to diminish, and he grew weaker and weaker without a challenge to keep him in shape. He realized too late that his wish for victory had come with unforeseen consequences, and that he had lost something far more valuable than a simple victory in battle.
The moral of the story is that sometimes, what we wish for may not be what we really need, and that we should be careful what we wish for as it may come with unforeseen consequences.
