Once upon a time, in a colorful jungle, there lived a proud Tiger with beautiful orange stripes and a gentle Donkey with soft gray fur.
One sunny morning, Tiger was walking through the meadow when he saw Donkey munching on grass.
“What a beautiful green carpet nature has given us!” said Tiger, admiring the grass.
“Green? GREEN?” brayed Donkey. “Are you blind? The grass is clearly PINK!”
Tiger couldn’t believe his ears. “Pink? My friend, grass has always been green. Everyone knows this!”
But Donkey shook his head stubbornly. “No, no, no! It’s pink as a flamingo! Pink as a rose! PINK!”
They argued and argued, getting louder and louder, until the whole jungle could hear them.
“Let’s ask the King!” suggested Tiger. “King Lion will settle this once and for all.”
They marched to Lion’s den, where the wise King sat on his rock throne, his golden mane shining in the sunlight.
“Your Majesty,” said Tiger respectfully, “please tell this silly Donkey that grass is green, not pink!”
Lion looked at the grass. He looked at Tiger. He looked at Donkey. Then he made his decision.
“TIGER!” he roared. “You will go behind bars for TWO MONTHS!”
Tiger was shocked. “But… but Your Majesty! I was RIGHT! Grass IS green!”
Lion nodded slowly. “Yes, Tiger. You are absolutely correct. Grass is indeed green.”
“Then why am I being punished?” cried Tiger.
Lion smiled wisely. “Because, my dear Tiger, you argued with a DONKEY! You are smart and strong. You should know better than to waste your time arguing with someone who cannot see reason. Some arguments are simply not worth having.”
Tiger hung his head, finally understanding the lesson.
From that day on, Tiger learned that being right isn’t everything. Sometimes, the wisest choice is to walk away from a foolish argument and save your energy for things that truly matter.
The Moral: Don’t waste your precious time arguing with those who refuse to listen to reason. Some battles are won by not fighting them at all.
