The Snowman Who Wanted to See Christmas Morning: Read the Story
Two sisters, Ava and Lily, built a snowman in their garden on the day before Christmas. They gave him a carrot nose, two button eyes and Dad’s old striped scarf. They named him Mr. Frost.
That night, when everyone was asleep, Mr. Frost wiggled his nose. Then he wiggled his twig arms. “I’m awake!” he said.
Mr. Frost looked at the house. He could see a Christmas tree through the window, covered in lights. “I wonder what Christmas morning looks like,” he said. “I’d love to see the girls open their presents.”
A robin landed on his hat. “Snowmen have to stay outside,” said the robin. “It’s too warm in there.”
Mr. Frost felt a little sad. But then he had an idea. He shuffled very slowly across the garden, until he stood right in front of the big window.
In the morning, Ava and Lily ran downstairs. They opened their presents, laughing and shouting. Then Lily looked outside and gasped. “Mr. Frost moved! He’s at the window!”
The girls waved at him. And Mr. Frost, who had a perfect view of Christmas morning, smiled the biggest snowman smile ever.
